Xabi Alonso asks Real Madrid to sign Liverpool & Chelsea stars after UCL defeat at Anfield…

Xabi Alonso has urged Real Madrid to pursue Liverpool and Chelsea stars following their UCL loss at Anfield.

The manager of Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso, has allegedly provided the club with a list of four midfielders he wishes to acquire, featuring prominent players from Liverpool and Chelsea.

Real Madrid suffered a 1-0 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield in a significant Champions League match this week, with Alexis Mac Allister netting the decisive goal in a standout performance against Alonso’s team.

It appears that the Spanish coach is eager to include the Argentina international in his squad, addressing what seems to be a challenging position at the Bernabeu.

According to Fichajes, Madrid had previously shown interest in Martin Zubimendi before he transferred to Arsenal, but their focus has now shifted to Mac Allister, Enzo Fernandez, Adam Wharton, and Vitinha.

Can Real Madrid lure Alexis Mac Allister away from Liverpool?

Mac Allister has been instrumental for Liverpool, making it unlikely that Los Blancos will easily convince the Reds to part with him.

The 26-year-old appears to be a perfect match for this Madrid squad, as Alonso currently lacks a player capable of controlling the game in the midfield.

Liverpool fans will undoubtedly wish for Mac Allister to remain and contribute to the team’s achievements, as losing another star to Real, following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit this summer, would be quite painful.

Who would be the ideal midfield acquisition for Real Madrid?

Fernandez, Wharton, and Vitinha also seem to have the potential to play significant roles in Alonso’s lineup, so who would be the most suitable choice?

According to the graphic below from DataMB, Vitinha stands out as the most creative and effective player on the list, particularly in terms of passing…

However, considering that Vitinha is a crucial player for PSG, he may not be the most feasible target, while someone like Wharton is likely to be looking for a major transfer away from Crystal Palace soon.

Mac Allister boasts the best defensive statistics, making him a sensible option as an ideal all-rounder for that role.
