As Brighton prepares to face Nottingham Forest, significant changes have been made to the predicted line-up, with a highly valued striker making a comeback. Get the latest team news and injury updates for the upcoming home game on Sunday.

Their inaugural foray into European competition seems to be coming to an end as Roberto De Zerbi’s squad suffered a 4-0 loss in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 match against Serie A powerhouse Roma. This defeat followed Brighton’s elimination from the FA Cup with a 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers. In the midst of these defeats was a 3-0 loss to Fulham in the league, leaving Brighton with only one victory in their last four matches and trailing by five points from the top six.

Facing a crucial trio of upcoming matches, with Nottingham Forest and Manchester City visiting the Seagulls before their return leg against Roma, De Zerbi must carefully consider his team selection for Sunday’s showdown at the Amex Stadium against Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

Jason Steele has been the starting goalkeeper for Brighton in their last three matches, and it is likely that he will continue in that role on Sunday. Changes may be made to the defense, with Pervis Estupinan and Joel Veltman coming off the bench in the previous game. Adam Webster could also be in contention after being an unused substitute.

In midfield, injuries have limited De Zerbi’s options, with James Milner and Billy Gilmour unavailable due to injury and suspension. There is some hope that Milner could return. Youngster Jack Hinshelwood is sidelined with an ankle injury. Carlos Baleba could be recalled to the team after featuring as a substitute in Rome.

Danny Welbeck started in Rome, but he may be omitted from the lineup in favor of Evan Ferguson. Nevertheless, Solly March, Joao Pedro, and Kaoru Mitoma are still sidelined, resulting in limited choices for wide positions.

Brighton expected starting lineup:

Steele, Lamptey, Dunk, Veltman, Webster, Estupinan, Gross, Baleba, Adingra, Fati, Ferguson.
