Jurgen Klopp’s concerns have been compounded as a significant Liverpool star has fallen victim to injury, delivering unfortunate news just before the Carabao Cup final.

Despite their recent triumph with a 4-1 victory over Brentford, the team has suffered another blow with this latest setback.

Klopp was already facing the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold for the final, and the injury to Diogo Jota further confirmed that he would also miss the game.

Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez were also substituted, but it was Mo Salah’s injury that raised the most concern for Klopp. Salah had just returned from the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) and had picked up a problem, and now he suffered another injury during the Egyptian national team’s camp.

Ahmed Shoubir, speaking to Egyptian TV station OnTimeSports, shared the unfortunate news about Salah’s injury. According to Shoubir, Salah will not be able to participate in Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League match against Luton Town. Although Shoubir hopes the news is not entirely true, it appears to be largely accurate.

Speaking to Egyptian TV station OnTimeSports (via Liverpool ECHO), Ahmed Shoubir said, “I have sad news. I learned that Salah suffered an injury at the end of the meeting between Liverpool and Brentford and renewed injury suffered during the camp of the Egyptian national team.”

“Salah regretfully won’t be able to participate in the upcoming Liverpool Premier League game against Luton Town. I hope the news is not accurate, but based on what I know, it is mostly true.

If Salah is unable to play against Luton on Wednesday, it would pose a significant risk for Klopp to consider including the Egyptian King in the game against the Blues.

Considering the remainder of the season, it might be wise for the manager to rest Salah at the start of the final and only bring him on if necessary to avoid worsening the injury.

It would be unfortunate for Liverpool if injuries start to impact their end of the season negatively.
