Arsenal has made a new offer to prevent the 20-goal sensation from joining their London rivals, according to Romano.

Additionally, Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke has disclosed that Tottenham is currently ‘ahead’ of Arsenal in the pursuit of Eze from Palace.

O’Rourke informed Football Insider: “Tottenham has renewed their interest in Eze. They have consistently been the frontrunners over the past few transfer windows.

“It appears that Spurs are actively working to bring the player to their club. Arsenal has shown interest this summer, but they need to offload several players from their squad before they can proceed with a deal for Eze.

There has been speculation about their intention to offload players like Reiss Nelson and Leandro Trossard. This situation currently gives Spurs an edge, as they aim to get ahead of Arsenal and finalize a deal for Eze, although it won’t be straightforward.

His release clause is nearing expiration and remains steep at £68 million. With James Maddison suffering a potentially season-ending injury, Tottenham is in need of a new number ten.

“Palace is reluctant to part with Eze, and Oliver Glasner is keen to retain his top talents. Should Tottenham present an offer, it will ultimately be up to Palace to decide how to proceed.
