Terms agreed: Arsenal is nearing a marquee signing after finalizing a financial agreement.

Agreement reached: Arsenal is on the verge of a major signing after securing a financial deal.

Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, intends to further his transfer activities as he identifies his next target.

The Gunners have made substantial moves this summer, having already secured high-profile signings of Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, and Viktor Gyokeres.

After finishing second in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons, the North London club has shown ambition in the transfer market.

Their next goal is to add a creative and attacking player in a wide position, with Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze being a player of interest.

Eberechi Eze to Arsenal?

Following his success in the Community Shield, Eze could be the next addition to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Football Transfers has reported that Arsenal and Palace have agreed on the financial terms for the transfer of the England international.

The Gunners are expected to pay a total of €63.5 million (£55m) for the English star, with €34.5m (£30m) to be paid upfront. The remaining amount will be settled through additional instalments, the specifics of which are still under discussion.

The primary obstacle to finalizing the transfer is not financial but rather Crystal Palace’s willingness to approve the sale. Palace is keen to find a suitable replacement before allowing one of their key players to leave.

Adding to the complexity is the current leadership situation at the club. Palace has yet to appoint a successor for departing sporting director Dougie Freedman, who was instrumental in transfer negotiations and recruitment strategy.

Without someone in that role to oversee the final stages of the deal and secure Eze’s replacement, the club has been hesitant to give the final approval.

For Arsenal, acquiring Eze would represent a significant statement of intent. Arteta holds the creative midfielder in high regard, as Eze scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists last season for the club.
