‘Contract terms under discussion’: Liverpool is making progress towards another agreement before Isak – Fabrizio Romano.

Liverpool is actively exploring various options in the summer transfer window, including the possible sale of Darwin Nunez.

Despite the optimism that Arne Slot could be a game-changer for the Uruguayan, the striker’s future at Anfield seems uncertain.

Reports have suggested that Italian clubs are showing serious interest in the No.9. However, Liverpool’s asking price (reportedly set at €70m [£60.7m]) has hindered his potential move to Serie A.

Has Darwin Nunez’s position on a transfer to the Saudi Pro League shifted?

Initially, it was believed that the former Benfica striker was primarily interested in a move within Europe.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday evening, it seems that his stance may not be as rigid as previously thought.

The Italian reports that Al-Hilal ‘have made [an] official proposal’ to Darwin Nunez. Interestingly, it appears that the player and his representatives are considering the negotiations. Thus, a transfer is still a possibility.

Al Hilal have made an official proposal to Darwin Nunez regarding contract details/salary.

After the project was presented as revealed in the last 48 hours, contract terms are currently being discussed.

Liverpool is awaiting an official bid to follow shortly.

From Liverpool’s viewpoint, this is very encouraging news, especially since clubs like Napoli and others were unable to provide the kind of funds we were hoping to receive for the underutilized forward.

The sale of Nunez would assist Liverpool in managing expenses while pursuing Isak.

It should be noted that Liverpool is in no risk of violating PSR this summer – even if we finalize a record transfer for Isak.

Nonetheless, it is encouraging to observe that the club has already made considerable progress in achieving financial balance through transactions involving players like Luis Diaz (£65.5m) and Jarell Quansah (£35m).

An additional cash influx of approximately £60m for Nunez would certainly be positive news for a club that is exceptionally well managed behind the scenes.

Moreover, this would be advantageous in light of a potential substantial fee earmarked for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak.

It remains uncertain whether we will finalize this deal before the summer transfer window closes on September 1. However, we remain optimistic!
