Liverpool XI vs Aston Villa: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, injury updates for Premier League.

Reds head coach is anticipated to revert to a familiar system after making changes midweek.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is expected to have Ryan Gravenberch available again following his injury as he considers his starting lineup against Aston Villa.

Gravenberch has been out of action since October 19 due to a twisted ankle sustained during Liverpool’s 2-1 home loss to fierce rivals Manchester United.

During the pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Slot confirmed that the Netherlands international has returned to full training and is in contention for the matchday squad.

However, Alexander Isak and Curtis Jones are “99.9 per cent sure” to be unavailable for Saturday night’s match, joining Alisson Becker, who has been sidelined for the last five matches due to a hamstring injury, along with Jeremie Frimpong and Giovanni Leoni on the list of absentees.

With Alisson not yet ready to reclaim his spot in goal, Giorgi Mamardashvili – who was rested for the midweek cup match – will start again as he aims for his first clean sheet in Liverpool colours.

Slot did change the formation on Wednesday night to match Palace’s back three system but remarked, “I wouldn’t read too much into that,” indicating a likely return to a flat back four against Villa, with captain Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate returning after being rested.

Bradley is a potential option at right-back if Slot decides to strengthen the defense in pursuit of a first clean sheet since the victory over Burnley in mid-September.

A significant decision awaits in midfield if Gravenberch is deemed fit, as Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Florian Wirtz are competing for the three available positions.

In the attacking front, Mohamed Salah is expected to start following his impressive goal against Brentford, and it is likely to be the same trio that began at the Gtech Community Stadium, with Cody Gakpo and Hugo Ekitike rounding out the lineup.
