Arsenal’s hopes for three points against Fulham were dashed when VAR ruled out Saka’s late goal.

A late goal by Saka for Arsenal was overturned by VAR, denying the team a crucial three points in their match against Fulham.

Arsenal fans at the away end quickly regretted their harsh two-word assessment of VAR following the match against Fulham.

During the game at Craven Cottage, Arsenal supporters expressed their discontent with VAR, only to have to reconsider their stance moments later when William Saliba netted a crucial equalizer.

The Gunners struggled in the first half, falling behind to a goal from Raul Jimenez.

With an opportunity to close the gap on Liverpool, whose match against Everton was postponed, Arsenal came out strong in the second half.

Just under ten minutes after the break, Saliba appeared to score the equalizer, converting from close range after a corner.

However, the celebration was short-lived as the announcement of a VAR check for offside dampened the mood.

The home crowd responded with ironic cheers, while the traveling Arsenal fans voiced their frustration.

As the VAR officials, John Brooks and Derek Eaton, reviewed the play, the away supporters chanted their disapproval of VAR.

This sentiment was quickly overturned when it was confirmed that Saliba was onside, allowing the goal to stand.

With the decision validated by Chris Kavanagh, the celebrations resumed, but the focus shifted to securing a winning goal.

If Arsenal were to secure a victory against Fulham, they would narrow the gap to just four points behind the league leaders, Liverpool, who would still have a game in hand.
