Thierry Henry identifies two teams that Arsenal will hope to steer clear of in the Champions League quarter-final draw. If Arsenal make it to the semi-finals, they will be highly motivated to clinch the tournament.

If Arsenal advances to the semi-finals, they will be highly motivated to win the tournament. It would be wise to steer clear of certain teams at this stage, as qualifying for the semi-finals would boost Arsenal’s determination and confidence, potentially aiding them in clinching the Champions League title.

Thierry Henry has identified Manchester City and Real Madrid as the top two favorites to win the Champions League, placing them ahead of Arsenal as they await the quarter-final draw on Friday. Mikel Arteta’s team secured a spot in the last eight of the Champions League by defeating Porto in a penalty shootout on Tuesday night.

Thierry Henry has identified Manchester City and Real Madrid as the two teams that Arsenal should steer clear of in the Champions League quarter-final draw. If Arsenal manage to reach the semi-finals, their determination and confidence will be high, potentially aiding them in winning the tournament.

Arsenal will be part of Friday’s Champions League draw alongside City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Henry believes that there are no easy opponents at this stage of the competition and considers both City and Madrid to be the most challenging for Arsenal.

When asked about his opinion on Dortmund being a ‘weaker’ side in the Champions League quarter-final draw, Henry stated on CBS Sports: ‘I’ve experienced both situations as a player, where sometimes teams didn’t want to face us with Arsenal and we didn’t progress far. We also had a team that reached the final, which I don’t believe was our strongest Arsenal team.’

I recall the time when we were drawn against Real Madrid, and it caused quite a stir as everyone laughed and said, “Arsenal is the team you want.” Meanwhile, Juventus and everyone else thought it was a favorable draw for them. However, we ended up facing Villarreal, who were a strong team at that time, and even they said, “It’s good to play against Arsenal.” Unfortunately, we couldn’t emerge victorious in the final.

I just want to emphasize that it’s important to never underestimate any team in Europe. There are only two teams who can afford to be confident – Real Madrid and Manchester City. The rest of the teams simply have to take on whoever they are matched against.

For me, Manchester City is still the team to beat. I understand Pep’s approach, and I’m not questioning it. I was merely expressing my opinion.
