Liverpool must now finalize a £24.8 million agreement for the acquisition of a midfielder.

The next step for Liverpool involves reaching an agreement on a £24.8 million fee for a midfielder signing.

Negotiations have taken place, and Liverpool must now agree to a £24.8 million fee for their midfield target.

In recent years, Liverpool has showcased its talent development capabilities, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones serving as prime examples.

Additionally, Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley have emerged from the club’s youth ranks and have become integral members of the first team.

This success in nurturing young players has made the club an attractive destination for emerging talents, leading to the recent acquisition of Rio Ngumoha, who is regarded as one of England’s most promising young prospects.

Liverpool has now set its sights on another English talent, Sunderland’s central midfielder Chris Rigg.

Reports from September indicated the club’s interest in the 17-year-old, and discussions have been held with his representatives regarding a potential transfer to Anfield.

According to Caught Offside, Liverpool is closely monitoring Rigg’s progress in the Championship before considering a move next year.

Sunderland is reportedly willing to part with their young star for a fee of approximately £24.8 million (€30 million).

However, the report highlights that Rigg is attracting attention from multiple clubs, with several prominent Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, also vying for his signature.

Furthermore, European giants such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig are also interested in acquiring him.

At such a young age, Rigg has already made a significant impact at Sunderland, contributing to the team’s push for promotion back to the Premier League, where they currently sit atop the Championship table.

He is versatile, capable of playing as a number ten, in a box-to-box role, and can also provide support in a central defensive midfield position if needed.

In your opinion, should Liverpool proceed with an offer of £24.8 million to secure Chris Rigg?
