Tottenham Hotspur is set to compete with Arsenal for the signing of Pedro Neto, with Wolves demanding a fee of at least £60m for the talented winger, as reported by the Evening Standard.

Neto’s standout displays for Wolves this season have attracted interest from top Premier League clubs.

According to a report from the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur is prepared to enter into a fierce competition with Arsenal in order to secure the signing of Pedro Neto. However, Wolves are demanding a minimum of £60m for the talented winger during this summer transfer window.

Neto’s exceptional performances for Gary O’Neil’s team this season have attracted the attention of several top clubs in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old has been a valuable asset for Wolves since joining them in 2019, establishing himself as a crucial player. In the current season, he has showcased his skills by scoring three goals and providing 11 assists in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Arsenal is keen on signing Portuguese international Neto to provide support for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. Mikel Arteta has identified Neto as a key target for the team.

However, competition is fierce as Tottenham has also entered the race to secure Neto’s signature, according to the Evening Standard. Liverpool is also reportedly interested in the player. Despite the interest, Wolves are demanding at least £60m for Neto, who is under contract with the club until 2027.

Nevertheless, the Evening Standard reports that Tottenham has entered the fray alongside Arsenal in the pursuit of Neto this summer, indicating increased competition. Additionally, Liverpool has also emerged as a potential contender for his signature.

Despite this interest, Wolves are cognizant of the situation and are aware that Neto is contracted with them until 2027. Consequently, the report suggests that they will insist on a minimum fee of £60m to secure his services in the upcoming transfer window.

Is Neto the perfect addition for Postecoglou?

Under the management of Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have shown impressive performance this season. One of the qualities that Postecoglou values in his players is their versatility and adaptability, which makes Neto a highly desirable option. Neto’s ability to comfortably play on either wing and even in the central position if needed, aligns perfectly with Postecoglou’s tactical approach.

Competing directly with Arsenal to secure his signature will pose a challenge, particularly if Tottenham fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

The price tag is also a bit high, which may lead Tottenham to focus on strengthening other areas of the team. This could potentially give Arsenal the upper hand in completing the deal during the upcoming transfer window.
