Liverpool is reportedly interested in acquiring a forward described as “impossible to defend against,” with a potential transfer fee of £50 million.

The forward that Liverpool wishes to sign is considered “impossible to defend against,” and he will come at a cost of £50 million.

Jamie Gittens, the talented 20-year-old from Borussia Dortmund, could be valued between £40-50 million next summer following his impressive performances in the Bundesliga, according to Football Insider.

The Reds are among several clubs keeping an eye on Gittens’ development in Germany.

Dortmund is optimistic about securing a substantial fee for their dynamic winger if he maintains his strong form throughout the season.

Under the guidance of new manager Nuri Sahin, Gittens is experiencing a breakout season, having earned significant playing time early in the campaign.

So far, he has made nine appearances for Dortmund in all competitions, netting four goals and providing two assists in 459 minutes of play.

The report indicates that a transfer for Gittens is unlikely to occur during the January window, with any potential move expected to take place in the summer of 2025.

The England U21 international is contracted with Dortmund until June 2028, having signed a long-term agreement last year.

Premier League Clubs Eye Gittens

Following a standout month in Germany

Since his arrival at Dortmund from Manchester City’s academy in September 2020, Gittens has progressed through the youth system before making his senior debut 18 months later.

Despite being only 20, he has already accumulated 67 first-team appearances for Dortmund, scoring nine goals and providing 11 assists during his three years with the senior team.

Gittens has made nine appearances for England’s Under-21 team since his debut, which was granted by current senior manager Lee Carsley in September 2023. In 2022, he played a pivotal role in the Young Lions’ triumph at the European Under-19 Championship, starting in the final match.

As reported by Football Insider, Liverpool is among the clubs interested in Gittens, even after enhancing their attacking options with the addition of Federico Chiesa during the summer transfer window.

Should he transfer to Liverpool, Gittens would likely be one of the most expensive exits from Dortmund, joining the ranks of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, both of whom transitioned to the Premier League from the Bundesliga club.

Liverpool Keeping an Eye on Josh Acheampong

Interest from Tottenham and Newcastle as well

Liverpool, Tottenham, and Newcastle are all tracking Chelsea prospect Josh Acheampong, who is also being pursued by Real Madrid, according to The Independent.

The talented 18-year-old has attracted considerable interest, but Chelsea is currently not looking to part with him and is committed to keeping their Cobham graduate.

Acheampong made his first-team debut under Mauricio Pochettino last season but has seen limited playing time since, with just one appearance in the EFL Cup third-round match against Barrow last month, which ended in a 5-0 victory.

The Independent also notes that several European clubs, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Borussia Dortmund, are showing interest in the versatile defender.
