Report – After first bid; Liverpool has been informed that they must increase their offer to £42.5m in order to finalize the signing…
Liverpool instructed to submit an improved offer of £42.5m to finalize the signing after their initial bid.
Liverpool required to raise bid to £42.5m in order to secure signing after initial offer.
According to recent reports circulating in the media, Liverpool has made a £38m bid for Atalanta’s midfielder, Ederson.
The most recent information from Italy indicates that Liverpool has been informed that they will need to increase their offer in order to secure the player.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport today, there is a high level of interest in the Brazilian midfielder from various clubs.
The Brazilian midfielder has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.
Premier League teams such as Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United are all looking to bring Ederson to England from Atalanta.
The media outlet based in Rome has reported that Atalanta president, Antonio Percassi, and head coach, Gasperini, have communicated the initial asking price to potential buyers.
Atalanta is adamant about selling the 24-year-old defensive midfielder for a sum no less than £42.5m (50 million euros).
According to CorSport, Teun Koopmeiners is likely to depart from Atalanta during the upcoming summer transfer window and could potentially move to Juventus.
As a result, the Europa League champions are keen on retaining Ederson, despite receiving significant offers as early as the January transfer window.
Nonetheless, the Serie A club is open to entertaining offers for his departure if they meet the specified minimum value of approximately £42.5m.
Considering the former Cruzeiro star’s impressive record of scoring six goals in the league for Atalanta last season, it is worth noting that his primary role was to disrupt play in the midfield.
As for Endo, although he had a decent debut season in the Premier League with the Reds, he struggled to consistently deliver strong performances week after week.
It is evident that the Japanese star’s prime days are behind him, highlighting the need for Liverpool to secure a long-term replacement.
Given these circumstances, do you believe it would be wise for Liverpool to offer £42.5m to sign Ederson?
