Newcastle has recently conveyed to Arsenal their willingness to sell Isak and Guimaraes. However, there is a single condition attached to this offer.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is not entirely satisfied with this condition. Nevertheless, the Sporting Director of Arsenal is determined not to let this opportunity slip away and is keen on acquiring the players.

Arsenal is keen on securing the services of Alexander Isak this summer for a reported fee of £100 million. The Gunners had previously missed out on signing the Swedish striker for a lower price of £37 million a couple of years ago.

Newcastle United made a significant investment of £63 million in Isak back in 2022, and the player has proven to be a valuable asset for the club with 29 goals and four assists in 60 appearances.

Despite their initial interest in Isak, Arsenal failed to secure his signature when he joined Newcastle. Now, the Gunners are faced with the prospect of paying a much higher fee as Isak continues to impress in the Premier League.

Newcastle might be looking to offload Isak at the end of the season to comply with financial regulations, with a reported asking price of £100 million. Tottenham Hotspur are also rumored to be interested in the striker, adding to the competition for his signature.

Despite the need for the Magpies to sell players this summer, Howe has expressed his confidence that their star striker will remain with the team and emphasized his desire to retain him as the 14th player.

“The entire Newcastle community is determined to keep him,” stated the Newcastle manager during a press conference prior to Tuesday’s match against Everton. “He possesses exceptional talent. I was particularly impressed with his performance against West Ham. Although he didn’t score from open play, his two penalty kicks were remarkable, and his overall game was highly commendable. His ability to connect with teammates and his athleticism showcased his advantageous position on the field.”

Isaac recently discussed his future at Tyneside and acknowledged that “many things can occur.” In an interview with Expressen, he stated, “It doesn’t greatly affect me. This topic has been discussed numerous times during various transfer windows. I perceive it as one of those things. Everyone is aware that summer is approaching, and if something happens, it happens. However, I haven’t given it much thought.”

Football.london has learned that Arsenal is actively seeking a striker this summer. It is believed that Mikel Arteta desires a player who can offer significant versatility in the forward line, although this preference may change before the season concludes.
