Reports indicate that Michael Edwards is now pursuing a £42m winger for Liverpool, with the player reportedly seeking a move away, as stated by a journalist.

Michael Edwards, the newly appointed CEO of Liverpool, is reportedly interested in signing a £42m winger for the club. The player in question is said to want to leave his current club, and Liverpool is considering making a move for him in the summer transfer window. This news comes as Liverpool looks to strengthen their attacking midfield options and undergo a new direction under a new manager.

Liverpool may be seeking to strengthen their attacking midfield positions in the upcoming summer transfer window by scouting some of the top talents in Europe.

The club is preparing for a new era next season with a new manager taking over from Jurgen Klopp, who will be leaving after nine years. Fenway Sports Group is currently restructuring the club, with Michael Edwards already appointed as the CEO.

Liverpool will soon name a sporting director as well. Edwards is known for his ability to identify promising players, and the club will conduct a thorough scouting process before making any new signings.

Despite having a strong forward line, Liverpool could consider selling Mohamed Salah if they receive a good offer from Saudi clubs. Cody Gakpo, who has struggled to make an impact, may also have an uncertain future.

Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Donyell Malen in the upcoming transfer window. According to reports, the Reds could face competition from Arsenal and other Premier League clubs for the Dutch winger. Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Malen is a serious target for Liverpool.

Plettenberg, in his recent update on X, has indicated that Manchester United is not actively pursuing the 25-year-old Dutch winger. Instead, clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, and other Premier League teams are showing more concrete interest in signing him during the summer transfer window.

This talented winger has showcased his skills by scoring 13 goals and providing five assists across various competitions this season. He is currently under contract with Dortmund until 2026. However, he has expressed his desire to leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window. Any potential suitor will need to be prepared to pay a transfer fee ranging from £34m to £42m to secure his services.

If Dalen decides to join Liverpool, he will have the opportunity to play alongside fellow Dutch players Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch at Anfield.
