Liverpool has received a significant setback as one of their key midfielders, Dominik Szoboszlai, is set to be sidelined for a period of up to four weeks due to an injury.

This unfortunate news was reported by Hungarian outlet Index, as relayed by Liverpool Echo. Szoboszlai, aged 23, was absent from the Liverpool squad during their recent 3-1 defeat against Arsenal.

According to a recent report from Hungarian outlet Index (as relayed by Liverpool Echo), it has been revealed that the Liverpool midfielder is expected to be sidelined for up to a month due to injury.

During the weekend’s match against Arsenal, Szoboszlai, who is 23 years old, was absent from the Liverpool squad.

Index’s report highlights that the young midfielder is currently “struggling with an injury similar to the one he had in January,” which specifically pertains to his hamstring.

This recurrence of the injury couldn’t have come at a more inconvenient time for Jurgen Klopp.

Following their defeat to Arsenal, which has affected their momentum in the title race, Liverpool is eager to regain their winning form. Losing Szoboszlai, who is arguably their most creative player, is undoubtedly a significant setback for the team.

In the event that the ex-RB Leipzig playmaker is unavailable for the upcoming four weeks, he will be absent for the subsequent matches:

1. Burnley in the Premier League on February 10th.

2. Brentford in the Premier League on February 17th.

3. Luton Town in the Premier League on February 21st.

4. Chelsea in the Carabao Cup Final on February 25th.

5. Watford/Southampton in the FA Cup Fourth Round on February 28th.

6. Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on March 2nd.

7. Europa League Round of 16 first leg on March 7th.
