Liverpool is set to part ways with an ‘incredible’ player this summer, as he will be departing the team.

Liverpool is preparing for significant changes this summer, as reports suggest that a key player will be departing the club. This news comes amidst Jurgen Klopp’s departure after nearly a decade at Anfield and Michael Edwards taking on a new role as CEO of Football.

For many fans, this transition will be a major adjustment, as Klopp has been a constant presence since Brendan Rodgers’ departure in 2015. Additionally, uncertainties loom over the future of players like Thiago Alcantara, who may be on the verge of leaving Liverpool.

Liverpool supporters are in for a significant transformation this summer as Jurgen Klopp bids farewell to Anfield after a successful nine-year tenure, while Michael Edwards assumes the position of the new CEO of Football.

This unexpected change may come as a surprise to some fans who have only witnessed Klopp’s presence on the sidelines since Brendan Rodgers’ departure in 2015.

Additionally, uncertainties loom over the future of certain players, with Thiago Alcantara being one who might have already played his last game for Liverpool.

According to rumors circulating in Turkey, it appears that one player is set to depart from Liverpool alongside Jurgen Klopp this summer. The Turkish news outlet Sabah has reported that Joel Matip, the Liverpool No.32, will indeed be leaving the club.

Matip’s contract is set to expire in July, and although Klopp previously suggested that the defender could have a future at Anfield, Sabah claims that a decision has now been made. Liverpool has allegedly chosen not to offer Matip a contract extension, meaning that the 32-year-old will become a free agent once his current terms come to an end.

In light of this development, Matip’s agent is already diligently working to secure a new club for his client. Sabah even mentions that Fenerbahce has been presented with the opportunity to acquire Matip’s services.

However, it has been reported that the Turkish giants are requesting access to Matip’s medical records before finalizing any agreement, due to his previous injury of rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in December.

This season, the Cameroon international has only made 14 appearances, and with the emergence of Jarell Quansah, Liverpool is now open to letting him go. Even Virgil van Dijk, who referred to Matip as “incredible,” supports this decision.

Interestingly, Liverpool has already been linked with another central defender as Matip prepares to leave. According to Sports Zone, there is a possibility for Liverpool to sign Sporting CP’s No.25, Goncalo Inacio, during the summer transfer window.

Furthermore, Jornal de Noticias reported that Ruben Amorim, the frontrunner to replace Klopp as Liverpool’s manager, is keen on bringing the Portugal international to Anfield.
