Liverpool is making preparations for the upcoming summer transfer window by seeking a suitable replacement for Mohamed Salah. The club is keen on conducting their business promptly and has set their sights on acquiring a top-class winger.

Liverpool is reportedly making preparations for the summer transfer window by seeking a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

The club has identified a talented European forward as a potential target for a move in the upcoming transfer window. With Salah’s future at Anfield uncertain due to Jurgen Klopp’s impending departure and significant interest from Saudi Arabia, Liverpool is actively exploring options for a suitable replacement.

Although finding a player of Salah’s caliber will undoubtedly be challenging, especially considering his impressive goal-scoring record this season, the Liverpool hierarchy remains optimistic about securing another proficient attacker to bolster the squad.

Liverpool have expressed their interest in signing Johan Bakayoko from PSV during the summer transfer window, as reported by Sky Sports Germany’s Patrick Berger. The 20-year-old Belgian international is a talented right-winger known for his incredible speed and direct style of play. Bakayoko, who is left-footed, possesses the ability to cut inside and take shots at goal or provide assists to his teammates.

This season, Bakayoko has showcased his skills by scoring seven goals and assisting nine more in 33 appearances across the Eredivisie and Champions League. His impressive performances have also earned him a spot in the Belgium national team.

However, Liverpool will face stiff competition from other top clubs in their pursuit of Bakayoko. Manchester City, Chelsea, PSG, and Borussia Dortmund are all reportedly monitoring the young winger. The potential transfer fee for Bakayoko is estimated to be between £42m-£50m.

In January, Brentford had a £35m bid rejected for Bakayoko, indicating the high demand for his services. If he continues to excel for the remainder of the season, his price tag could increase even further. Additionally, with PSV dominating the Dutch league and Bakayoko’s potential impact on Belgium’s performance in Euro 2024, securing his signature won’t be an easy task for Liverpool.

Bakayoko’s current contract with PSV expires in 2026, and Transfermarkt values him at £35m.
