Liverpool midfielder Mac Allister raises concerns over injury after being absent from Argentina’s training session…
Liverpool’s Mac Allister is facing an injury concern, having missed a training session with the Argentina national team.
Concerns arise for Mac Allister as Liverpool midfielder skips Argentina training session.
The international break often brings anxiety for fans, particularly regarding the potential injuries to key players from their clubs.
Liverpool supporters are undoubtedly hoping that none of Arne Slot’s squad suffers any setbacks after a strong start to the season.
The expectation is that all players return to Kirkby healthy and prepared for the upcoming fixtures.
However, one player has already had to pull out of international duty, and now there is additional worry as another overseas player missed a crucial training session.
Since his transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion last summer, Alexis Mac Allister has been a standout performer for Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has revitalized the midfield, collaborating with Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch to infuse creativity and fluidity into the team’s play.
Mac Allister has traveled back to South America for international duty, with Argentina set to face Chile and Colombia in World Cup qualifying matches.
Reports have emerged that Liverpool’s number 10 may be dealing with an injury.
Argentina’s manager, Lionel Scaloni, mentioned to ESPN that Alexis “didn’t train due to overload or some discomfort. We will monitor his response.”
While Scaloni noted that the team’s style of play would remain unchanged, he acknowledged Mac Allister’s contributions, particularly in terms of creativity and set pieces.
Mac Allister is crucial for both his club and national team, as fans can attest, especially after his pivotal role in winning the ball from Kobbie Mainoo, which initiated the play leading to Mo Salah’s goal against Manchester United.
Fortunately, Mac Allister himself has provided a more optimistic update by sharing an Instagram photo of him participating in a training session, captioned: “Working hard and as a team, as always. All set for tomorrow.”
In light of the injury updates, the Liverpool star appears to be in high spirits as Argentina prepares for their opening match.
The images indicate that any issues he experienced earlier in the week were quite insignificant.
We look forward to Mac Allister delivering two strong performances against Chile and Colombia, before he returns to England in peak condition for the Reds’ encounter with Nottingham Forest.
