Liverpool’s line-ups against Crystal Palace as decisions on Ryan Gravenberch and Darwin Nunez are made.

Liverpool’s anticipated line-ups for the Premier League match against Crystal Palace this Saturday have been revealed.

The Reds are looking to maintain their impressive start to the Premier League season as they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

This match marks the conclusion of a demanding stretch of seven games over 22 days.

Under the new management, Liverpool has secured victories in eight out of their first nine matches across all competitions and could potentially establish a four-point lead at the top of the league table.

As Liverpool prepares for this 12:30 PM fixture, the question arises: should the manager consider altering his starting eleven? Our analysts share their insights.

A break for Konate is advisable’

As Liverpool wraps up a hectic schedule, it may be prudent for the manager to utilize his squad, despite his previous reluctance to rotate players.

With many players soon to join their national teams, adjustments are necessary.

However, the goalkeeper position will remain unchanged with Alisson Becker. Kostas Tsimikas could be primed for a start at left-back, replacing Andy Robertson, while Trent Alexander-Arnold will retain his position at right-back.

In central defense, resting Ibrahima Konate seems wise, considering he has already played twice this week. Jarell Quansah could step in to partner Virgil van Dijk.

In midfield, although the manager indicated on Friday that Ryan Gravenberch faces challenges in maintaining consistent performances, there is no need to rest him.

He can start alongside Alexis Mac Allister. Dominik Szoboszlai’s strong performance against Bologna midweek also warrants his inclusion.

In the attacking line, Darwin Nunez and a fatigued Luis Diaz may be substituted for Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo, with Mohamed Salah positioned on the right.

My proposed line-up (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Jota.

Diogo Jota takes the lead position once again.

Arne Slot has shown limited interest in rotation at Liverpool thus far, but it will be intriguing to see if he makes any adjustments following Wednesday night’s 2-0 victory over Bologna in the Champions League.

The Reds manager has expressed the challenges of playing at 12:30 PM on Saturday shortly after a midweek European match, but he can at least take comfort in the fact that the win over Bologna was secured at home.

With players heading off for the international break after this weekend, I do not expect significant changes to the lineup.

Alisson Becker will be positioned behind a defensive line consisting of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Andy Robertson, maintaining the tightest defense in the Premier League this season.

In midfield, the in-form duo of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister will retain their spots, while Dominik Szoboszlai is given the opportunity to build on his strong performance against the Serie A team on Wednesday.

In the central attacking role, Diogo Jota steps back in to lead the attack, replacing Darwin Nunez. Another key decision for Slot involves the selection of Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo.

Both have performed admirably this season, but for the sake of rotation, I will opt for Gakpo in this instance, allowing Diaz to conserve energy for a potential impact in the second half. This results in two changes overall.

My lineup (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Jota.
