Liverpool is set to make a groundbreaking move to sign a £55m player who is predicted to become a ‘football superstar’…
Liverpool is preparing to finalize a record-breaking deal to bring in a £55m player who has been identified as a potential ‘football superstar’.
Liverpool is reportedly preparing to make a groundbreaking move to secure the signing of a player worth £55m, who is expected to rise as a ‘football superstar’.
Liverpool must make progress in the transfer market to conduct any business this summer.
The Reds have refrained from engaging in the transfer window thus far, focusing entirely on integrating Arne Slot into the club.
However, with their competitors starting to reinforce their squads, Liverpool must carefully consider their next steps.
Failing to strengthen the first-team squad could result in the new head coach falling behind before even getting started.
Fortunately, it appears that the Liverpool owners are on the verge of signing a player who would undoubtedly bring excitement to Anfield.
Liverpool is reportedly preparing to make a bid for Takefusa Kubo.
At the beginning of the transfer window, it was reported that the club is in search of a new forward as one of their top priorities.
Despite having several high-quality options in the forward position and promising young players from the academy, it is said that the Reds are still looking to add one more player.
With Mohamed Salah approaching the final year of his contract, it would be wise to bring in a new player who can eventually take over from the Egyptian forward.
Currently, Liverpool lacks a natural left-footed replacement in the first-team, and with Salah attracting interest from Saudi Arabia once again, the club needs to strategize for his potential departure.
There are talented forwards who are left-footed and right-sided, and some of them could potentially contribute to Liverpool.
Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo is one such player. According to Japanese outlet Sponichi Annex, Liverpool views Kubo as the perfect replacement for Salah.
The club is reportedly getting ready to make an offer of approximately £55m to secure the 23-year-old’s services this summer.
Additionally, Liverpool is rumored to be preparing a lucrative salary of over £12.5m per year for Kubo.
If this deal goes through, it would set a new record for both transfer fee and contract for a Japanese player in football history.
The potential signing of Takefusa Kubo would be a logical move for Liverpool. Despite their low-key approach in the transfer market, it may not come as a surprise if they decide to pursue the Japan international.
He is a rapid and skilled right winger who could definitely bring a different dynamic to the team.
Maheta Molango, an executive at his former club Mallorca, even suggested that Kubo has the potential to become a ‘football superstar‘ because of his vision and intelligence on the field.
At 23, he still has a lot of room for improvement and the £55m fee does not seem out of reach for the Reds. In many ways, he fits the mold of a typical FSG signing.
However, if Liverpool were to pursue Kubo, it is unlikely that they would agree to the mentioned salary.
The annual amount would put Kubo at around £240k-per-week. It seems highly unlikely. He would immediately become one of the highest earners at Liverpool.
If this issue can be resolved, we don’t see any reason why Kubo should not at least be considered for Liverpool’s squad.
