Liverpool is reportedly contemplating the acquisition of French midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to L’Equipe.

Liverpool is said to be targeting a late signing of a player valued at £30 million, potentially securing a bargain deal.

According to reports, Liverpool is looking to make a late move for a star valued at £30 million in what could be a bargain acquisition.

The Reds are currently the only Premier League team that has not yet made a new signing during this transfer window. However, reports indicate that they are eager to add a midfielder to their squad.

Initially, Arne Slot had pinpointed Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi as the top target, but the player opted to remain with his boyhood club, turning down a move to Anfield.

Following this setback in securing the Spaniard, Liverpool appears to be considering other options, with Rabiot emerging as a prominent candidate.

After a successful tenure at Juventus, the 29-year-old has chosen to leave the Bianconeri as a free agent in search of a new challenge in his career.

Rabiot’s potential move to Liverpool is generating significant interest.

Reports indicate that Manchester United has also expressed a desire to sign him, although they are exploring other options, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte currently at the forefront of their targets.

According to L’Equipe, both Inter Milan and Bayern Munich are also pursuing Rabiot, which means Liverpool will face stiff competition from these European powerhouses to bring him to Anfield.

The midfielder is eager to make a decision regarding his next club soon, and it remains uncertain whether Liverpool will ultimately secure his services to strengthen their midfield.

As a free agent, Rabiot can be signed outside the traditional transfer window, and clubs often finalize such deals after the window closes, suggesting that his future may not be determined until the end of the month.

Nonetheless, Rabiot brings a wealth of experience and has demonstrated his abilities at the highest level in recent years.

He excels as a box-to-box midfielder, showcasing technical proficiency, dynamism, and the ability to deliver incisive passes. He also works diligently off the ball and is effective in aerial duels.

With a valuation of approximately £30m by Transfermarkt, Rabiot could represent a savvy acquisition for Liverpool if they decide to pursue him this summer.
