Liverpool is prepared to break the British transfer record in order to secure the services of an attacker who has an impressive tally of 77 goals and 72 assists.

Liverpool is reportedly ready to break the British transfer record in order to secure a new attacker, as per the latest report.

According to Sport, if Mohamed Salah departs, Liverpool will target Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. as his replacement.

The report suggests that Liverpool, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are all willing to pay £171 million to bring the Brazilian to their squad.

Despite this interest, Real Madrid is not looking to sell Vinicius and is instead looking to extend his contract for another 5 years.

With 77 goals and 72 assists in 253 appearances for Real Madrid, Vinicius has been a key player for the Spanish club.

Liverpool may consider selling him this summer, potentially capitalizing on his value. Last summer, Liverpool’s star player Mo Salah received substantial offers from Saudi Arabia, including a £150m bid from Al Ittihad on the final day of the transfer window.

With Salah’s contract expiring in 2025 and manager Jurgen Klopp departing at the end of the season, there is a significant possibility that he may depart during the upcoming transfer window.

Recent reports suggest that Liverpool’s sporting director, Michael Edwards, will prioritize contract extensions for key players such as Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

However, if an agreement cannot be reached with Salah in the summer, the club may opt to sell him rather than risk losing him for free the following year.

Salah’s performance this season has been nothing short of extraordinary. Once again, he has showcased his exceptional skills, scoring 22 goals and providing 13 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

Since joining Liverpool, Salah has consistently achieved double figures in both goals and assists. His remarkable record of 208 goals and 89 assists in 339 games speaks volumes about his incredible talent and contribution to the team.
