Liverpool is currently expressing interest in acquiring a player worth £25 million. Michael Edwards, the club’s representative, has recently initiated contact within the last few hours.

Liverpool has initiated contact with Juventus to inquire about defender Dean Huijsen.

Various clubs, such as Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool, are competing to secure the player’s services, according to journalist Mirko Di Natale.

Michael Edwards, the club’s CEO, and Richard Hughes are leading Liverpool’s recruitment efforts, indicating that the duo must have communicated with Juventus.

In recent news, an Italian journalist has revealed on X that Liverpool has reached out to the player in question within the past few hours.

It seems that Juventus holds the 19-year-old defender in high regard and will be seeking a fee of approximately £25 million for his services.

During the previous season, the young talent had the opportunity to showcase his skills while on loan at AS Roma, where he impressively scored two goals in 14 appearances.

Although Atalanta has also expressed interest in signing him, no significant progress has been made beyond the initial contact.

Liverpool is currently in need of a new defender for the upcoming season. The club is actively exploring various options and conducting thorough research on potential transfers.

It appears that Michael Edwards, Liverpool’s sporting director, is particularly interested in acquiring a promising young defender who possesses the potential to become a world-class player.

Liverpool is prepared to make significant investments in promising talents, but they are unlikely to overspend.

After Joel Matip’s departure due to contract expiration, the club is in need of a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk.

Huijsen, who has risen through the ranks at Juventus, has shown promise with one senior appearance. His impressive performance at Roma last season highlights his potential.

In addition, Liverpool has shown interest in signing Lille defender Leny Yoro, who is also being pursued by Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old is considered a top talent and could be available for around £50 million this summer, with the Reds ready to make a move if his transfer to Real Madrid falls through.
