Four Liverpool players sidelined for the next three weeks as Federico Chiesa update provided.
Following an update on Federico Chiesa, it has been confirmed that four Liverpool players will be sidelined for the next three weeks.
Liverpool’s injury status ahead of the Premier League match against Brighton.
Arne Slot has shared an injury update for Liverpool in anticipation of tomorrow’s Premier League encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield (3pm GMT).
The Reds are set to face the Seagulls for the second time in quick succession, having secured a 3-2 victory in the Carabao Cup on the south coast earlier this week.
Diogo Jota (ribs) and Harvey Elliott (fractured foot) have both been confirmed as unavailable until after the international break later this month.
Additionally, Alisson Becker will miss his fifth consecutive match as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Federico Chiesa has not participated in the last six matches, with head coach Slot acknowledging that the summer recruit from Juventus has faced challenges in maintaining a consistent training routine.
Chiesa will not be available for the match against Brighton, nor for the upcoming fixtures against Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa next week.
During his pre-match press conference, Slot remarked: “I believe I have mentioned before that it’s always challenging to determine when they will be ready.
The final stages of recovery can vary by a few days. The reality is they will not be available before the international break, and we will see if they can return afterward.
“Chiesa will not be back before the international break. With only a week remaining, we are hopeful he can engage in some activities during that time.”
Following the international break, Liverpool will visit Southampton on Sunday, November 25.
