Liverpool are actively searching for promising new players to strengthen their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Throughout the year, Liverpool has been linked to numerous exciting signings, aiming to reinforce various positions within the team. As the season comes to a close, the Reds may witness several departures, including the potential end of Jurgen Klopp’s managerial tenure.

While players like Thiago and Joël Matip are expected to depart due to the expiration of their contracts, other individuals may also be on their way out. The future of Mohamed Salah remains uncertain, and deputy goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher might seek a new opportunity as he strives for a regular starting position in goal.

Liverpool’s recent injury setbacks have highlighted the urgent need for additional options within the team. During their victory over Brentford, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Núñez were all forced off the pitch due to fitness concerns.

The absence of Salah, who has been dealing with hamstring troubles, and the sidelining of Dominik Szoboszlai have severely limited Liverpool’s attacking choices in recent times. These concerns could potentially have disastrous consequences in their pursuit of the title this season.

However, it appears that the Reds are already taking steps to strengthen their attacking prowess. Football Insider reports that Liverpool has identified an exciting prospect, 18-year-old Luis Guilherme, as a top target for the upcoming summer transfer window. Hailed as ‘the next Kylian Mbappé,’ this Brazilian teenage sensation was actually considered for a move in January but Liverpool decided to postpone their interest.

Guilherme is a versatile player who primarily operates as a midfielder but can also play upfront or on the right-wing. This flexibility will be crucial if Salah departs the club in the summer, as it would provide much-needed options in those positions. Currently playing for Palmeiras in Brazil, Guilherme is renowned for his lightning-fast pace, having recorded a top speed of 36.4km/h in 2022, similar to that of Mbappé.

Despite his recent 18th birthday, Guilherme has already earned a spot in the Brazil U20 team. While his transfer fee remains undisclosed, Transfermarkt values him at €17 million (£14.5m), a figure likely to increase as he continues to impress.
