Liverpool and FSG are reportedly prepared to submit an offer to acquire a high-profile forward for Slot, with a value exceeding £50 million.

Liverpool and FSG are reportedly preparing a bid to sign a top forward for over £50 million in order to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

Liverpool is looking to revamp their team under the guidance of new manager Arne Slot, with a focus on bringing in young defenders to secure the future of their back line.

The Reds are looking to make significant changes after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City last season.

Following the appointment of Arne Slot as their new manager, Liverpool are wasting no time in the transfer market and are actively seeking new additions to their team.

Recent reports suggest that the club is targeting young defenders to secure the future of their defense, especially with uncertainties surrounding Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip.

Leny Yoro is a player who has been linked with a move to Merseyside, with reports suggesting that the LOSC Lille defender could be on his way to Liverpool for a fee of £59million.

Another player on Liverpool’s radar is Italy’s Riccardo Calafiori, who has impressed during Euro 2024 and could be set for a £34million move to Anfield this summer.

In addition to defensive reinforcements, Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot and German talent Joshua Kimmich.

With the Reds looking to strengthen in multiple areas, it seems that they are now preparing to make a bid for an attacking player.

Liverpool set to make bid for Lookman

According to reports from Italy, Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, with the Reds reportedly willing to offer close to €60m (£50.7m) for the player.

The outlet mentions Chelsea and Manchester United as two other interested parties, indicating that Liverpool may face competition in securing the deal.

Lookman has attracted attention from several clubs this season due to his impressive displays for Bergamo. The Nigerian winger registered 17 goals and 10 assists in the previous campaign, with a standout performance being a hat-trick in the Europa League final.

Lookman’s display in the final came as a surprise to many English fans who recall his underwhelming stints with Everton, Leicester, and Fulham.

Nevertheless, the 26-year-old has experienced a resurgence in Italy and now appears to be among the top wingers in Europe.

Following Atalanta’s 3-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen to secure the Europa League title, Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini discussed Lookman’s progress over the past year, stating: “Lookman has transformed into a top player now, whereas he wasn’t at that level previously.

He used to show moments of brilliance but also had periods where he would fade away during matches.”

Despite his past experiences in the Premier League, it is evident that this improved version of Lookman could greatly benefit Slot’s team.
