Injured Liverpool player set to return ‘sooner rather than later,’ according to journalist…
According to a journalist, there is a sense of hope surrounding the injured Liverpool player, who is likely to make a comeback in the near future.
Liverpool supporters can look forward to their team returning to the pitch soon amid a challenging series of fixtures.
The Reds solidified their lead at the top of the Premier League standings on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Anfield.
This match marks the beginning of a demanding stretch of 12 games that will truly test Liverpool’s resilience. In the coming weeks, the team will face formidable opponents including Arsenal, Brighton, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Newcastle, and Everton in the Premier League.
Additionally, Liverpool is set to compete in the Champions League, where they aim to maintain their flawless record this season against RB Leipzig on Wednesday.
To successfully navigate this critical period, manager Arne Slot hopes to have his entire squad fit and available.
Currently, that is not the case, as Alisson Becker, Harvey Elliott, Diogo Jota, and Federico Chiesa are all sidelined. An update has been provided regarding Chiesa, who has yet to make a significant impact since joining Liverpool.
Federico Chiesa is anticipated to return ‘sooner rather than later’
Chiesa’s start at Liverpool has been inconsistent. His late transfer from Juventus and lack of a pre-season contributed to this situation.
Considering his previous fitness challenges, it was plausible that Chiesa would face difficulties adapting after joining the Reds.
While it may be premature to draw conclusions after just two months with the club, it is disappointing that the 26-year-old has only accumulated 78 minutes of playtime across three matches.
Chiesa sustained a new injury earlier in October and has not participated since the Carabao Cup victory over West Ham in September.
He was on the bench for the match against Wolves three days later, on September 28, but has not appeared in any games since then.
There has been minimal information regarding Chiesa’s condition and his expected return date.
However, during a discussion with Anfield Index, journalist David Lynch expressed optimism, suggesting that the former Juventus winger may be back “sooner rather than later.”
“We haven’t received much news on Chiesa, but there’s optimism that he’ll return sooner rather than later,” Lynch stated.
A more definitive update on Federico Chiesa is anticipated on Tuesday.
It appears that Liverpool is currently keeping details about Chiesa’s injury and his potential recovery timeline confidential.
While there are valid reasons for this approach, it can be frustrating for fans eager to know when they might see their players back in action.
Nonetheless, Liverpool supporters may gain a clearer understanding of Chiesa’s situation on Tuesday, when the team holds their regular open training session in preparation for the Champions League matches.
Before traveling to Leipzig on Tuesday, Liverpool will conduct a media session at the AXA Training Centre.
During this event, it will be evident whether Chiesa is participating. At this point, it seems unlikely that he will be training in Kirkby, but circumstances can change. Regardless, it appears that the No. 14 is not too far from a return.
