Alan Shearer has expressed a new title prediction following Liverpool’s victory over Chelsea this weekend, stating, “I have seen enough.”

After witnessing Liverpool’s win against Chelsea this weekend, Alan Shearer has provided an updated title prediction.

Liverpool’s impressive performance under Arne Slot continued as they secured a win against Chelsea, maintaining their position at the top of the league.

Curtis Jones scored the decisive goal, and with Arsenal’s loss to Bournemouth, it was a significant weekend for Slot’s team.

Previously, many observers doubted Liverpool’s ability to compete with Manchester City and Arsenal for the title.

However, after City narrowly defeated Wolves and Arsenal’s setback, Liverpool is now being recognized as serious contenders.

During a recent episode of the Rest Is Football podcast, Shearer discussed Liverpool’s title aspirations.

Following their win against Chelsea, he made a confident assertion about their potential.

“I initially thought the title race would be a contest between Arsenal and City, but I have seen enough from Liverpool this season,” Shearer remarked.

“If they can stay injury-free and keep most of their squad healthy, they will undoubtedly be in contention with those two.”

Looking ahead to January, Liverpool may benefit from additional reinforcements. Arne Slot took over a strong squad from Jurgen Klopp, with 15-16 players capable of competing at the highest level.

However, if they remain in the title race, it would be prudent for FSG to support Slot by adding one or two more players.

While Mo Salah continues to find the back of the net, there is a case to be made that the team still needs a prolific striker.

With Diogo Jota sidelined due to injury this weekend, the onus will now fall on Darwin Nunez to step up.

As January approaches, acquiring a new striker could be essential for the Reds to advance their ambitions.
