Liverpool will be facing Fulham with some injury concerns, as four players have been ruled out and one more is doubtful for the upcoming match.

Liverpool will need to regroup quickly following their elimination from the Europa League, as they prepare for their upcoming match against Fulham on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s final season as manager has unfortunately seen their hopes of winning a European trophy come to an end, with a 3-1 defeat against Atalanta in the quarter-finals. The damage was primarily done in the first leg at Anfield, where they suffered a 3-0 loss.

However, Liverpool managed to secure a 1-0 victory in the return leg in Italy, although their performance was not at their usual exceptional level. Nonetheless, they did manage to keep a clean sheet, which was their first in 10 games.

Klopp still has an opportunity to exit in a magnificent manner if the Premier League title is secured. Currently in third place, Liverpool is trailing Manchester City by two points with six games remaining. Although it is unlikely that City will make a mistake, Liverpool must be ready to seize any opportunity that arises.

In their fourth encounter with Fulham this season, Klopp’s team will face a tough challenge. Liverpool previously secured a thrilling 4-3 victory at Anfield in December and followed it up with a 2-1 win in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg. The reverse fixture at Craven Cottage ended in a 1-1 draw, but Liverpool went on to defeat Chelsea in the final and claim the trophy.

Fulham, managed by Marco Silva, currently sits in 12th place and has the potential to cause an upset. They have already triumphed over second-placed Arsenal this season with a 2-1 victory. As the match approaches, let’s take a look at the team news for both clubs.

Joel Matip – out

The midfielder remains absent with a hip injury. He’s made just one fleeting substitute cameo this season and is set to depart in the summer.

The right-back suffered ankle ligament damage in last week’s loss against Palace and won’t be back until next month.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – out

The right-back suffered ankle ligament damage in last week’s loss against Palace and won’t be back until next month.

Conor Bradley, the right-back, sustained ankle ligament damage during the defeat against Palace last week. Unfortunately, he will not be able to return to the field until next month.

The 18-year-old winger, Ben Doak, underwent knee surgery in December and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

Stefan Bajcetic, on the other hand, is uncertain for the upcoming match. After being absent for six months, the midfielder recently made a comeback for the under-21s in a triumphant 3-0 victory over Man Utd.

However, Bajcetic did not join the team for the Atalanta match and remained in Merseyside to focus on improving his fitness. There is a possibility that he might feature for the under-21s against Sunderland on Monday.
