Emile Smith Rowe expresses his emotions about his potential departure from Arsenal following his lack of playing time with Mikel Arteta’s team…
There have been speculations about Emile Smith Rowe’s potential departure from Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
Emile Smith Rowe has expressed his intentions to remain at Arsenal despite being limited to a lesser role under Mikel Arteta.
Despite being given limited opportunities by Mikel Arteta, Smith Rowe has expressed his determination to remain at Arsenal and compete for his spot in the team. Last season, the 23-year-old only started in three matches, as Arsenal once again fell short in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Rumors suggest that Smith Rowe might consider leaving Arsenal in order to secure regular playing time elsewhere.
Clubs like Fulham and West Ham have been mentioned as potential destinations, where he could have a more significant role within their squads.
It appears that Smith Rowe is fully committed to preparing for the upcoming season and is not contemplating leaving.
He took the initiative to start his pre-season training four weeks earlier than scheduled, indicating his determination to move up in the Arsenal squad hierarchy.
Arteta reportedly took six Arsenal players to Mallorca for early pre-season training, ahead of the official start next month.
Ben White, Eddie Nketiah, Jurrien Timber, Reiss Nelson, and Fabio Vieira, along with Smith Rowe, focused on improving their fitness and performance in Spain.
In contrast, Smith Rowe arrived a week before his teammates to kickstart his fitness regimen. His dedication to achieving top physical condition for the upcoming season is evident as he shortened his summer break for this purpose.
There have been other reports indicating that Smith Rowe’s future is still uncertain, as he only has two years left on his current contract. However, his proactive approach to training indicates that he has a desire to remain at Arsenal rather than seek opportunities elsewhere. The outcome of the situation is yet to be determined.
Despite Smith Rowe’s limited playing time, Arteta is clearly a big admirer of the player. This was evident when the Spaniard expressed his admiration after Arsenal’s victory over Luton Town in April.
Arteta expressed his admiration for the player, highlighting his exceptional skills and physicality on the field. He commended the player’s ability to win duels and play with a forward-thinking mindset, ultimately contributing significantly to the team’s victory.
“I have a great appreciation for him as a player, he brings me immense joy when I watch him,” Arteta stated. “His agility, ability to change direction, and his physicality without the ball were all on display today.
“He fearlessly engaged in duels and emerged victorious in many of them.”
“He possessed a killer instinct to push forward and create opportunities. When Emile is in that zone, he becomes unstoppable. His contribution was crucial in securing the victory today.”
