Liverpool has made contact with the club to explore the option of signing a new player for Slot, with a price tag exceeding £50 million.

Liverpool is reportedly in talks to acquire a player valued at over £50 million, with other Premier League clubs also expressing interest in signing him.

The new Reds manager, Arne Slot, is looking to revamp the team after a couple of challenging seasons under Jurgen Klopp’s leadership.

Klopp secured the Premier League title in 2020, but Liverpool has struggled to maintain that level of success in recent years, with Manchester City and Arsenal dominating the title race.

Anfield is set to witness significant changes this summer as Liverpool aims to improve their squad in various positions. Although no signings have been finalized yet, the Premier League giants have been linked with numerous players.

According to recent reports, Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United, who spent the previous season on loan at Slot’s Feyenoord, is being targeted by Liverpool.

The Magpies may need to sell players to comply with the PSR guidelines. Additionally, Liverpool’s pursuit of Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopemeiners has received a major boost, indicating their intention to revamp their midfield.

Furthermore, Slot is reportedly keen on securing Sporting defender Goncalo Inacio as his first signing as Liverpool manager. The Anfield side had already initiated efforts to sign the Portuguese player during the previous transfer window.

Liverpool have reportedly expressed their interest in signing a new player for a fee exceeding £50 million.

The player in question is Takefusa Kubo, a 23-year-old winger currently playing for Real Sociedad. Kubo, who joined Real Madrid in 2019, has received praise from his compatriot Shinji Kagawa.

In an interview with Marca in 2019, Kagawa described Kubo as a “very good player” who possesses great intelligence on the field. Kagawa also highlighted Kubo’s proficiency in Spanish, which he acquired during his time at the Barcelona academy.

With his left-footed skills and astute decision-making abilities, Kubo is seen as having a promising future in Spanish football.

According to reports from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo [via Sport Witness], the Japan international winger, who is currently contracted in Spain until 2029, has caught the attention of numerous top clubs in England.

It is stated that five Premier League teams, including Liverpool, have reached out to inquire about the player’s availability.

While the report does not disclose the names of two interested teams, it does mention Manchester United and Tottenham as potential suitors.

The La Liga side is believed to be seeking €60m (£50.7m) for the services of the winger, making this transfer saga worth keeping an eye on.
