Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are set to face off at Anfield in the upcoming Premier League match this Sunday.

Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal are the top contenders vying for the Premier League championship this season.

Arsenal currently holds the third position with 61 points from 27 matches. Defending champions City are in second place with 62 points, just one point ahead of Liverpool who currently leads the table.

Liverpool and Manchester City are set to clash at Anfield this Sunday, and according to former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton, the Reds are favored to secure a victory. Sutton expressed his belief that despite City’s impressive track record as Premier League, European, and world champions, he is confident that Liverpool will come out on top.

Sutton stated in an interview with BBC Sport, “City’s accolades are undeniable, but I am going against the odds and predicting their defeat. With Liverpool playing on their home turf, they possess a slight advantage, and the return of Mohamed Salah from injury could prove to be the deciding factor in what is expected to be a closely contested match.”

Acknowledging the potential risk of his prediction, Sutton humorously added, “I may end up looking foolish by the end of the game, but I have a feeling that ‘darling’ Darwin Nunez will find the back of the net, leading the Reds to a victory.”

Sutton’s final verdict is a 2-1 win in favor of Liverpool.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City have been performing exceptionally well recently. Liverpool has secured victories in their last four league matches, while Manchester City has won four out of their last five Premier League games.

Although the match will take place at Anfield, a stadium known for its intimidating atmosphere and passionate crowd, I believe that the City players will not be affected by it. They have experience playing in such environments.

However, Liverpool possesses a strong team with a solid defense. With the return of Virgil van Dijk and the availability of Joe Gomez, their defensive line is formidable. Additionally, Mohamed Salah’s return adds to their attacking prowess.

Considering these factors, I predict that Liverpool will manage to score against Manchester City and prevent them from scoring more than one goal. Therefore, I believe that the match will end in a draw.
