Bukayo Saka may be available for Arsenal’s upcoming match against Bournemouth on Saturday, despite having withdrawn from the England squad due to injury concerns.

There is a possibility that Bukayo Saka will be fit to participate in Arsenal’s game against Bournemouth on Saturday, despite having pulled out of the England squad because of an injury.

Saka did not join the Three Lions in Helsinki for their Nations League fixture against Finland on Sunday.

He was released back to Arsenal after being substituted during the second half of the 2-1 loss to Greece at Wembley on Thursday.

The right-winger appeared upset after seemingly straining his right hamstring while attempting a cross and was later seen leaving the stadium with a noticeable limp.

The injury was serious enough for interim England manager Lee Carsley to decide against risking him for the Finland match, but subsequent scans indicated that there was no major injury.

“Bukayo would have been close, but it would have been unwise to take a risk with him,” Carsley commented prior to the Finland match. “He’s a positive individual, and I anticipate he will be fine.”

Earlier, in the post-match press conference following the Greece game, Carsley mentioned, “He’s currently under assessment. Clearly, during the buildup to the first goal, it was evident he felt something in his leg.”

Saka was initially viewed as a potential absentee for Arsenal’s next game against Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

However, it appears that their concerns regarding the injury and a recurrence of Martin Odegaard’s situation from the last international break have been alleviated.

The 23-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, with three goals and seven assists in 10 matches across all competitions for Arsenal.

Nonetheless, the injury scare with England is likely to reignite discussions about Saka’s workload, especially since he has started every match this season for both club and country.

After his impressive performance, which included two assists and a goal in the 3-1 victory over Southampton last weekend, Mikel Arteta was asked if he ever considered resting Saka.

“Yes, there is that consideration, and we have substituted him a couple of times this season,” he responded. “We need to manage his workload, but currently, he is in a good place.”

With Saka unavailable, England will look to Harry Kane for leadership in Helsinki, following the Bayern Munich striker’s absence during the loss to Greece. Jack Grealish, who excelled in Carsley’s initial two matches in September, is also fit and ready to play.

“They both participated in training on Friday and again today, so their fitness levels are good,” Carsley stated.

“What does Harry contribute to the team? Observing the matches he has played and the impact he has, he truly leads by example. He is an excellent captain and a very positive presence to have in the squad.

“We often find ourselves seeking the next big talent when we have something exceptional in front of us. However, it’s important to recognize the value of what we currently have in Harry.

His goal-scoring record is impressive, and his past achievements deserve significant respect. I believe he still has many games and goals ahead of him, and I hope that’s the case.”
