Liverpool has dispatched a scout to Germany to finalize a significant transfer shortly after the announcement of Martin Zubimendi’s transfer to Arsenal.

After missing out on the transfer of Martin Zubimendi, a scout from Liverpool has flown to Germany to wrap up a new deal.

During the summer, Arne Slot aimed to make a bold statement as the new manager of Liverpool by pursuing the highly regarded Real Sociedad midfielder, Zubimendi.

Initially, the Spanish player had decided to remain with his childhood club, rejecting Liverpool’s advances.

However, he has now reportedly agreed to join Arsenal in a surprising summer move.

In response to this development, Liverpool has acted swiftly by sending their chief scout, Barry Hunter, to Nuremberg to negotiate a transfer for Greek forward Stefanos Tzimas.

According to Anfield Watch, the club is considering the 19-year-old as a potential replacement for Darwin Nunez, who may be sold to a Saudi Pro League team this month.

Liverpool is reportedly prepared to offer around Β£25 million for Tzimas, who is said to be interested in a move to Anfield.

Currently, he is on loan at FC NΓΌrnberg from Greek club PAOK, where he has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 15 appearances this season.

However, any potential deal for Tzimas hinges on the possible sale of Nunez, which is still in the preliminary stages, as noted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

He confirmed on social media that while there is genuine interest from Saudi Arabia in Nunez, negotiations have not yet progressed significantly.

Romano stated, “It is essential to acknowledge Liverpool; Darwin is a key player for them, and they have invested significantly in him. There is still much work to be done, and currently, we have not reached that point.”

If Liverpool successfully finalizes a transfer for the highly regarded teenager, he would be the third player to sign with the Reds since Slot succeeded the iconic manager Jurgen Klopp last summer.
