BREAKING :Green light from Slot: Liverpool now ready to let “world class” player leave Anfield this month…
Liverpool has received the go-ahead to allow their “world-class” player to depart from Anfield this month.
Arne Slot has indicated that he is prepared to allow a “world class” player to depart Liverpool during the January transfer window, as reported recently.
In the latest updates from Liverpool, the team solidified their position at the top of the Premier League after a commanding 5-0 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Goals from Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Diogo Jota contributed to this impressive win, marking their 14th victory in 18 matches this season.
Following the match, Slot expressed satisfaction with the diversity of the goal scorers.
“I appreciate seeing multiple players contribute to the scoreline.
Relying solely on one player for goals is often not beneficial, even though having a prolific scorer is advantageous,” he stated.
“It’s encouraging to see others also finding the net and posing a threat to the opposition. The build-up to the goals is equally important from our perspective.”
Slot also addressed the situation regarding Federico Chiesa, who was omitted from the matchday squad: “As I have mentioned before, we are focusing on two aspects: his match fitness and integrating him with the team.
We believed it was more beneficial for him to engage in additional training sessions rather than joining us for this match.”
Regarding Chiesa’s future, Slot’s recent remarks imply that he sees potential for the Italian winger, who transferred from Juventus for ยฃ12.5 million last summer, at Anfield.
However, a new report from TBR Football suggests that Slot is now open to the possibility of Chiesa leaving Liverpool this month.
Sources indicate that Chiesaโs representatives have approached the club about a potential return to Italy, and Slot is amenable to this request.
TBR Football reports that Chiesa is experiencing significant frustration due to limited playing time this season.
Several clubs from Italy, including Napoli, Roma, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Atalanta, and Fiorentina, are reportedly interested in acquiring him on loan if Liverpool consents to the arrangement.
Chiesa, who has been described as “world class” by former Italy international Alessandro Pierini, made his first appearance for Liverpool last month after a long absence, coming off the bench in a 2-1 victory over Southampton in the Carabao Cup.
Following the match, Slot expressed admiration for the 27-year-old’s performance: “I observed some excellent moments, as well as instances where I thought, ‘You can improve on this.’ It’s entirely normal for a player returning after such a lengthy absence to have mixed moments in their first game in five or six months.
It’s encouraging to see him back and to witness some positive contributions during the match.”
