Bayern blow as a player valued between £41.7m and £50m is on the verge of agreeing to join Liverpool.

Bayern Munich faces disappointment as star player valued between £41.7m and £50m is poised to finalize a move to Liverpool, according to reports.

Omar Marmoush, the Egyptian striker, is being pursued by Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona, with the Reds emerging as the frontrunners for his signature.

Frankfurt is expected to receive a transfer fee in the range of £41.7m to £50m, planning to allocate half of that amount for a replacement while investing the remainder back into the club.

Reports indicate that the Bundesliga club is considering French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo from Rennes as a potential replacement for the in-form Marmoush.

While Bayern and Barcelona have shown interest in Marmoush, Sport Bild reports that he is inclined to join Liverpool, viewing Anfield as his “dream destination,” with preliminary discussions already taking place.

The German outlet also notes that there is a prevailing belief in Frankfurt that the 25-year-old forward will not be heading to Bayern Munich, given that coach Kompany employs a single-striker system and the presence of England international Harry Kane.

There are suggestions that Marmoush could eventually take over from Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, despite the two players occupying different positions.

Salah himself has commented on the matter during a book fair in Sharjah, praising Marmoush’s impressive performances but emphasizing that comparing a player at the start of his career to one with extensive achievements is not meaningful.

The situation continues to develop, and updates will be provided as it unfolds.
