Arsenal’s full squad for the Champions League clash against PSG has been announced, following a decision regarding Mikel Merino.
The full squad of Arsenal for their Champions League encounter with PSG has been revealed, with a notable decision regarding Mikel Merino.
On Tuesday night, Arsenal will face Paris Saint-Germain in their second match of the new Champions League phase at the Emirates Stadium.
After starting their European campaign with a goalless draw against Atalanta last week, the Gunners are eager to secure a victory to boost their position in the league standings.
Mikel Arteta’s team heads into this match on the heels of a late victory over Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal showcased their dominance throughout the game, ultimately sealing the win with two goals in injury time.
PSG currently leads Ligue 1, having won five of their first six matches and drawn one.
However, manager Luis Enrique will be without key player Ousmane Dembele due to a recent disagreement.
Enrique stated, “If someone doesn’t comply or respect the expectations of the team, it means they are not prepared to play.
The match against Arsenal is crucial, and I want all my players to be ready, so I have decided to leave him out. My priority is the team’s success.”
On the other hand, Arteta may see the return of some players, including Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mikel Merino, who have resumed training ahead of the match.
Riccardo Calafiori has also returned to training after recovering from an injury sustained against Leicester. However, Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko will remain unavailable.
