Arsenal’s anticipated line-up (4-2-3-1) against Chelsea sees Trossard omitted and two significant changes made.
Trossard will not be starting, leading to two key modifications in the squad. The projected Arsenal formation (4-2-3-1) for the upcoming game against Chelsea reflects the choice made regarding Odegaard.
The Gunners are set to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in today’s Premier League derby.
Recent weeks have seen Arsenal struggle, managing only one point from their last three league matches.
Additionally, they experienced their first defeat in the Champions League this week.
Despite a commendable performance against Inter Milan, where they lost 1-0 due to a penalty, Arsenal finds themselves 10 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.
Today’s match is crucial for maintaining their title aspirations.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
David Raya has been outstanding in goal, making several key saves, and will aim for a clean sheet in this London derby.
The defensive lineup is expected to remain the same as in the match against Inter.
Ben White and Jurrien Timber will continue in their roles as right-back and left-back, respectively, while William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes will anchor the central defense.
Mikel Merino struggled in the first half at San Siro, where he conceded a penalty and was also denied one himself.
He may be replaced on the bench by Declan Rice, who is anticipated to return to the midfield alongside Thomas Partey after recovering from a broken toe sustained against Newcastle United.
On the wings, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are likely to retain their positions. Kai Havertz, who sustained a head injury midweek, is expected to lead the attack if he is cleared to play.
The only alteration in the attacking lineup may occur in the number 10 position, with Leandro Trossard making way for Martin Odegaard, who is set to make his first start since recovering from an ankle ligament injury.
