Arsenal XI vs Manchester United: Confirmed lineup, injury latest, team news – Bukayo Saka start as Mikel Arteta make two changes for lineup today…
Arsenal face two key uncertainties ahead of their visit to Old Trafford as they strive to maintain their title charge.
Despite sustaining a gash to his left shin in the previous weekend’s victory over Bournemouth, Bukayo Saka is expected to recover from his injury and feature in Arsenal’s lineup against Manchester United today. Throughout the week, Saka has trained with a bandage on his leg, showcasing his resilience and determination.
While Mikel Arteta expressed doubts about Saka’s availability on Friday, the winger’s impressive performance this season suggests that he will provide a significant boost to Arsenal’s squad.
In addition to Saka, Arsenal also have concerns regarding Takehiro Tomiyasu’s fitness. The defender was absent from a training session at London Colney this week and instead underwent indoor training, raising concerns about his readiness for the upcoming match.
If Saka and Tomiyasu are fit, Arteta will stick with the same starting XI for the fourth consecutive match.
The core of the Arsenal team remains unchanged, with Odegaard, Rice, and Partey in midfield.
Havertz will lead the attack, while Trossard gets the nod over Martinelli on the left.
Arteta may also include Timber in the Arsenal squad for the first time since the beginning of the season, following his recovery from a serious knee injury.
After Manchester City’s 4-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday, Arsenal will be aiming to bounce back and reclaim their position at the top of the Premier League.
City currently lead by two points with two matches remaining, however, a win for Arsenal at Old Trafford could add pressure on Pep Guardiola’s team before their match against Tottenham on Tuesday.
Projected Arsenal starting lineup (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard
Injuries: Saka, Tomiyasu
Kick-off: Sunday at 4.30pm BST, live on Sky Sports

Match official: Paul Tierney
Arsenal squad: Ramsdale, Raya, Hein; Gabriel, Cedric, Kiwior, Saliba, Timber, Tomiyasu, White, Zinchenko; Elneny, Havertz, Jorginho, Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Smith Rowe, Vieira; Jesus, Martinelli, Nelson, Nketiah, Saka and Trossard.
