Crystal Palace is getting ready to make a £30m offer for an Arsenal midfielder in order to outbid Fulham for the transfer.

According to the latest Arsenal transfer news, Crystal Palace is getting set to make a £30m offer for a midfielder from the Gunners.

Crystal Palace is rumored to be preparing a £30m offer to acquire Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe for the upcoming 2024-25 Premier League season.

Smith Rowe, a 23-year-old product of Arsenal’s Hale End academy, has struggled to secure regular playing time under Mikel Arteta in recent years.

In the 2023-24 Premier League season, Smith Rowe only made 19 appearances, mostly as a substitute, and managed to provide just two assists for the Gunners during that period.

Despite this, Fulham also showed interest in signing the English midfielder earlier this week as Marco Silva looks to strengthen his midfield following Joao Palhinha’s departure.

The Cottagers’ initial bid to acquire the Englishman from Arsenal was unsuccessful, leaving the door open for other clubs to enter the race.

Crystal Palace is getting ready to make a bid for Emile Smith Rowe. As per talkSPORT, Crystal Palace is one of the clubs looking to make an offer for the 23-year-old midfielder.

This move comes as they seek to fill the gap left by Michael Olise’s departure to Bayern Munich.

The report also mentions that Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been a fan of Smith Rowe for a long time and is keen on securing the Arsenal player for Selhurst Park in the upcoming season.

Arsenal is willing to consider selling the player this summer, but they are only interested in offers above £35m for the England international.

Alongside London clubs, Aston Villa and Serie A giants Napoli are also monitoring the midfielder’s situation.

Despite previously expressing his desire to stay at Emirates Stadium, Smith Rowe is now contemplating a move in order to secure regular playing time.

Nevertheless, he still has two years left on his contract with Arsenal, so the club is not compelled to sell him below their asking price.

Arsenal is set to increase their summer transfer operations.

Smith Rowe entered the Hale End academy at the age of 10 and had loan spells in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig in 2018-19 and Huddersfield in January 2020.

The Gunners have only finalized the signing of 28-year-old Spanish goalkeeper David Raya, who won the Premier League Golden Glove last season.

However, the club is anticipated to intensify their transfer activities following the conclusion of Euro 2024 and Copa America.

One of Arteta’s main objectives is to secure a new number nine, as the current attacking pair of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah combined for just nine goals last season.

Crystal Palace were rumored to have a long-standing interest in Nketiah, however, the emergence of Jean-Philippe Mateta towards the end of the previous season has shifted the club’s focus towards strengthening other positions on the field.

On the other hand, Arsenal is said to be considering potential transfers for Sporting Lisbon’s attacker Viktor Gyokeres and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, who impressed during Euro 2024.
