Arsenal is boosted by the possibility of Nico Williams transferring to the Premier League as discussions progress.

Arsenal receives potential boost in pursuit of Nico Williams as talks are underway for a Premier League transfer, with Leicester City showing interest in Reiss Nelson.

Leicester City’s discussions regarding the acquisition of Reiss Nelson from Arsenal may pave the way for the Gunners to trigger Nico Williams’ release clause, potentially enhancing their pursuit of the Spanish winger.

Mikel Arteta is said to be eager to strengthen his attacking options in the upcoming transfer window, but it appears that Arsenal might have to sell some players to make room.

Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, and Nelson are all potential departures as Arsenal look to bolster their offensive capabilities.

Nketiah struggled to find playing time last season and is now being linked to a move to Marseille, while Smith Rowe is reportedly a target for Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Meanwhile, Nelson, who was previously linked with West Ham, could be heading to Leicester City in the East Midlands.

According to Fabrizio Romano, talks have begun between Leicester and Arsenal for a potential loan deal for Nelson, with an obligation to buy.

Leicester are confident they can persuade Nelson to make the move, especially given his previous working relationship with Steve Cooper.

Last month, it was reported that Nelson had expressed his desire to explore other options ahead of a possible summer transfer, as he struggled for regular playing time.

The 24-year-old made just one Premier League start last season, despite signing a new contract with Arsenal last July.

If Nelson were to leave, it might open the door for Arsenal to chase after Williams in the upcoming transfer window.

The Spanish winger left a mark at Euro 2024, notably scoring in the final against England just a few weeks ago.

During the previous season, he scored eight goals and contributed 19 assists in 37 matches for Athletic, leading to speculation of a potential move this summer.

Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal are said to be keeping tabs on him. Williams’ contract, which runs for another three years, features a release clause of $63 million (£49m).
