Arsenal possible line-up against Brentford : Martinelli left out as Partey partners Rice in midfield, Arsenal XI for Brentford…
Martinelli is not included in Arsenal’s ideal starting lineup against Brentford in the Premier League, as Thomas Partey will be partnering with Declan Rice.
Arsenal’s packed schedule in March continues, with their last Premier League match before the international break. This game holds even more significance due to its proximity to the upcoming UEFA Champions League encounter against FC Porto, which is just a few days away.
Arteta must strive to achieve team balance while keeping a close eye on the varying availability of his players in the upcoming four days. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka may be uncertain for selection, but Arteta has seen the return of some previously absent players to the squad in the last week.
Football.london now presents a potential dream Arsenal XI for Saturday evening. One change is necessary due to David Raya’s ineligibility against his parent club, with Aaron Ramsdale stepping in for what could be his final game for the club.
The defensive line-up remains solid with Jakub Kiwior and Ben White on the flanks, while William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes hold the fort in the center.
Martin Odegaard remains a crucial part of the midfield trio alongside Declan Rice and Thomas Partey, with many considering them to be the strongest combination when all are fit. Rice has excelled in his advanced role, hinting at a promising future beyond this season.
Kai Havertz will lead the line once more, showcasing his consistency with three goals and two assists in the last three Premier League matches. His recent performances have silenced critics, but he must continue to find the back of the net to maintain his form.
Considering Martinelli’s injury compared to Saka’s, I am inclined to select Saka from the beginning. With the upcoming match against Porto, Martinelli’s presence will be crucial, and it seems that Saka’s issue is more illness-related, which hopefully he has fully recovered from by this weekend.
When we have a player of Leandro Trossard’s caliber available, there is no need to take risks with other players. However, if both Martinelli and Saka are unavailable, Gabriel Jesus would likely be the best choice to join the team on the right side and form a strong partnership with Havertz.
My ideal Arsenal starting lineup against Brentford would be as follows: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Havertz, Trossard.
