Arsenal is set to finalize an £80 million transfer next week, as all documents have been agreed upon. The player is anticipated to undergo a medical examination and has already accepted the personal terms.

Arsenal has learned that a “phenomenal” forward is eager to join the club in January, providing them with a significant advantage in their pursuit of a highly-rated player this month.

The Gunners are reportedly “highly likely” to secure a new forward during the January transfer window.

Mikel Arteta, the team’s manager, has publicly stated that they are actively seeking a new attacking option ahead of the transfer deadline on February 3rd, prompting various reports linking Arsenal to several prominent strikers.

Among the potential targets are RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray, and Igor Jesus from Botafogo, as interim sporting director Jason Ayto evaluates the best possible candidates.

Arteta acknowledged the team’s need for reinforcements, stating, “We lost two very important players in Saka and Jesus, and we lack goals and options in the front, it’s clear.

If we can get the right player, that’s what we’re actively looking at.

The players are aware of the situation, and sometimes I consult them on signings, especially if they know the players personally.”

While discussions regarding their targets have not progressed significantly, reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano has assured fans that it is “highly likely” Arsenal will acquire a new centre-forward before the January deadline.

Romano commented, “It’s highly likely that Arsenal will find a striker.

This is Mikel Arteta’s expectation, and I anticipate the club will support him in identifying a solution in the market, even if other major clubs are non. Jnn. t active.”

A prominent target for clubs is Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, who has yet to finalize a new contract with the team despite reportedly agreeing on financial terms.

The main issue appears to be Cunha’s request for a relegation clause, which has caused negotiations for a new deal to stall, creating a potential transfer opportunity for interested parties.

According to reputable journalist Ben Jacobs, Cunha will not come at a low price, with Vitor Pereira’s team potentially seeking as much as £80 million.

In a positive development for Arsenal’s pursuit of Cunha, GiveMeSport reports that Arteta has received a “significant boost” in their efforts to secure his signature.

The report indicates that Cunha is keen on joining Arsenal this month, placing the Gunners ahead of competitors such as Chelsea, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Nevertheless, Wolves are still intent on retaining the former Atlético Madrid player, who has netted 10 goals and provided four assists across all competitions this season, showcasing his versatility by playing in five different attacking positions.

To successfully lure the “phenomenal” Cunha away from Molineux, Arsenal may need to present a substantial offer, which is expected when targeting any elite forward during the mid-season transfer window.
