Arsenal is looking to secure a £35m defender as their initial summer acquisition.
Arsenal is reportedly keen on securing the services of a £35m defender as their inaugural signing for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a £35m move for Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu as their potential first signing of the summer transfer window.
Kadioglu’s impressive performances this season, including three goals and four assists in 30 league appearances, have caught the Gunners’ attention.
Fenerbahce’s strong position in the Turkish Super Lig, where they are currently second and only two points behind the leaders, adds to the appeal of signing the talented full-back.
Football London reports that Arsenal is considering making Fenerbahce full-back Ferdi Kadioglu their first signing of the summer transfer window. Kadioglu has been in excellent form this season, featuring in 30 out of 31 Turkish League matches and contributing three goals and four assists.
His consistent availability has been a key factor in Fenerbahce’s strong position in the league, where they are currently second and only two points behind the leaders, Galatasaray.
According to TRTSpor, Napoli is Arsenal’s main competitor in the race to sign the talented 24-year-old player. Mikel Arteta seems to be frustrated with the frequent injuries of full-backs Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oleksander Zinchenko. As a result, Kadioglu is seen as an upgrade who could provide a reliable option in their place.
In the Super Lig, Kadioglu has an impressive 85% pass accuracy and consistently dispossesses his opponents seven times per game. Those who watch Fenerbahce games also praise his ability to skillfully dribble out of dangerous situations.
Although Fenerbahce recognizes Kadioglu’s value as a top-class and versatile full-back who can play on both flanks, they are only willing to sell him at a premium price.
However, Arsenal remains confident in their ability to secure his transfer, which is why Football London reports that they aim to kick off their summer business with a swoop for him.
Arsenal has shown significant improvement over the past two seasons. To maintain their position at the top, they need to continuously enhance their squad.
It is anticipated that Arsenal will be active in the upcoming summer transfer window. Rumors indicate that they are targeting a top striker, a top midfielder, and a top full back like the £17 million-rated Kadioglu (Transfermarkt).
We are optimistic that Arsenal will have a productive summer transfer window, leading to a stronger team for the next season.
