Arsenal have reportedly submitted a £25.5m bid for the attacker that Mikel Arteta deems as the perfect fit for the team.

Mikel Arteta’s ideal attacker has caught Arsenal’s attention, leading them to make a significant £25.5m approach for the player.

After narrowly missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City once again, Arsenal is determined to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

According to Spanish outlet AS, the Gunners have expressed their interest in signing Girona winger Viktor Tsyhankov.

Arteta is said to be highly impressed with the Ukrainian international and sees him as a valuable addition to Arsenal’s attacking lineup.

Arsenal and AC Milan have reportedly reached out to Tsyhankov’s representatives, expressing interest in the player’s potential move to the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is also in the mix for the 23-year-old, who has a €30m (£25.5m) release clause in his Girona contract.

Since joining Girona in January 2023, Tsyhankov has had an impressive season with eight goals and seven assists, contributing to Girona’s third-place finish.

Girona is determined to retain Tsyhankov, whose contract extends until 2027, as they aim to capitalize on their successful season and debut in the Champions League.

In a recent interview with AS, Tsygankov expressed his openness to a potential move this summer, but emphasized that he would only consider leaving “through the front door”.

He stated, “Like many players, I have big dreams and aspirations to play for top clubs in prestigious leagues. This is not something unique to me.”

“Since I was young, I have always aimed to compete at a high level, and it’s certainly exciting to know that prominent European clubs are showing interest in me.

” However, the future remains uncertain in football, as anything can happen.”

“I may have played my last game for Girona, but I cannot predict what lies ahead for my career.”

“Girona has been incredibly supportive, and I am sincerely grateful for everything they have provided me. Moreover, my family is content here, and I feel very comfortable.”

“If I continue to be a part of Girona, it would be perfect because I am genuinely happy and enjoy what I do.

” However, if circumstances dictate that I must depart, I would prefer to do so in a respectful and honorable manner, leaving through the front door.”
