Arsenal is considering the possibility of acquiring a talented Premier League winger after discovering that his current club may be willing to sell him for a fee of £50 million.

Despite the pleas from fans for Arsenal to acquire a new striker to strengthen their chances of winning the Premier League title, sporting director Edu has returned early from Dubai and is reportedly willing to engage in transfer market activities.

However, it is worth noting that the focus at this stage is more on potential departures rather than arrivals, as stated in the report by football.london.

Michael Olise’s situation is being closely monitored by several clubs, including Arsenal. However, Manchester United was initially considered the frontrunner.

Unfortunately for them, their plans to secure a free transfer for the talented Crystal Palace player have been hindered by interest from other strong competitors. One of these competitors is Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a minority shareholder, who has expressed a keen interest in Olise and has prioritized him on his list of potential signings.

In fact, talkSPORT even reported in January that Manchester United was willing to offer former Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka as part of a player exchange deal. Nevertheless, Arsenal has also identified a clause in Olise’s recently signed contract, which is rumored to exceed £50 million.

Expert Jason Cundy recently stated that Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise is of such high quality that he surpasses the level of the club.

Cundy expressed his belief that Olise has the potential to play for any team in the Premier League, including Manchester City. Although this may not be well-received by Crystal Palace fans, Cundy firmly believes that Olise is destined for greatness and will eventually move on to a higher level.

Similarly, former defender turned pundit Janusz Michallik has suggested that Arsenal should consider signing Olise to strengthen their attacking options. Despite Arsenal’s ongoing search for a right-winger, they have yet to secure a signing in that position.

Bukayo Saka has been the sole player that Mikel Arteta has relied on to play on the right flanks.

Consequently, the young talent from Hale End has been consistently featured in almost every game for the North London club in recent seasons. However, this heavy workload has taken a toll on Saka, as he has appeared fatigued in his recent performances, struggling to display his true potential.

During a discussion on ESPN, Michallik expressed his belief that Olise is an incredibly talented player and suggested that Arsenal should consider signing him to strengthen their right-wing position. Additionally, the pundit mentioned that Liverpool or Chelsea would also greatly benefit from acquiring Olise’s services if they were able to secure his signature.

Although Olise faced injury setbacks at the start of this season, he had an impressive campaign last term. Since returning to full fitness, he has once again demonstrated his abilities, scoring five goals and providing one assist in nine league appearances for Crystal Palace.

The French player, with a market value of approximately £43m according to Transfermarkt, is a player with immense talent and the potential to develop into a top-tier winger in the future. Acquiring him this year would be a significant achievement for Arsenal.

Nonetheless, it remains to be seen if the North London club will decide to make a formal move to secure the signature of the French U21 international.
