Arsenal is optimistic about the recovery of Martin Odegaard, Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel as they approach their game against Newcastle, with both players potentially set to return soon.

Arsenal’s coaching staff is optimistic about the recovery timelines for the three key players.

Medical assessments indicate that Odegaard and Gabriel are making strides in their recovery.

Ahead of their upcoming clash with Newcastle, Arsenal is encouraged by the injury updates on Martin Odegaard and Gabriel, as both players are eyeing a return to the squad.

The Gunners are optimistic about Odegaard’s potential return as he approaches full fitness.

The Norwegian midfielder has been sidelined since September due to an ankle injury sustained while on international duty.

Recently, he has resumed training on the pitch, and Mikel Arteta indicated that Odegaard is in the final phase of his rehabilitation process.

“He’s been training on the grass for a few weeks, but there are still a few steps to complete,” Arteta stated.

“The speed at which we can finalize this last phase of rehab will depend on how he integrates with the team and begins competing. He hasn’t reached that point yet.”

Reports suggest that the Arsenal captain is eager to be fit for Saturday’s match at St. James’ Park, although it is more probable that he will return for the following week’s game against Inter Milan.

In addition, there is encouraging news regarding Gabriel’s condition.

The Brazilian defender sustained an injury during the recent 2-2 draw with Liverpool, but Arteta later clarified that the injury was not as severe as initially thought.

Gabriel was considered for selection in Wednesday’s match against Preston North End, but the decision was made to rest him.

Meanwhile, Riccardo Calafiori will be unavailable until at least the international break due to a knee injury sustained in the 1-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Kieran Tierney is also close to returning, while Takehiro Tomiyasu remains sidelined.
