Arsenal has announced a positive update regarding Martin Odegaard’s injury, as recent footage showcases his recovery progress.

Currently, there is no specific timeline for Odegaard’s return to the pitch.

The Arsenal captain has intensified his rehabilitation efforts by utilizing an anti-gravity treadmill.

Odegaard sustained an ankle injury while representing Norway last month, resulting in his absence from the last seven matches for Arsenal.

While both the club and Odegaard have refrained from providing a definitive return date, they anticipate having a clearer understanding once he resumes training.

The Gunners are facing crucial fixtures against Liverpool on October 27 and Inter Milan on November 6, leaving uncertainty about Odegaard’s availability for these matches.

The midfielder is currently training individually until he can rejoin the team, and he has made significant strides by beginning to run on the anti-gravity treadmill.

Arsenal has frequently employed this machine for injured players, as it allows them to start running earlier by alleviating stress on joints and muscles.

Odegaard has experienced what Mikel Arteta has characterized as “significant” damage to his ankle ligaments, and the anti-gravity treadmill helps minimize the strain during his running sessions.

Last week, the Norwegian provided an update on his recovery in Arsenal’s match-day program, expressing optimism that his return would not be far off.

“I wanted to share the latest on my injury and rehabilitation,” Odegaard stated prior to last week’s match against Southampton.

“In the past week, I’ve made substantial progress. I feel better each day, and it’s encouraging to see improvement. When you sense that you are advancing, it motivates you to push harder and work more diligently.

“Today marks our final game before another international break, which gives me additional time to focus on my rehabilitation.”

It is my hope that the wait will not extend much further; I believe we will have more clarity once I return to the training pitches and assess how my ankle reacts.

Currently, the recovery is going well, and the situation appears more promising than we initially anticipated. However, we must continue to approach each day with caution.
