Arsenal has been granted the opportunity to sign a cost-effective European forward, but they will face rivalry from fellow Premier League clubs…
Arsenal has received the green light to pursue a cost-effective signing of a promising European forward, although they will face competition from other Premier League clubs.
The Gunners are poised to enhance their attacking options with a potentially budget-friendly acquisition.
This summer, Arsenal has welcomed only Riccardo Calafiori, while they continue negotiations for Mikel Merino. Additionally, David Raya has officially transitioned from Brentford to Arsenal.
Following the initial round of Premier League matches, Mikel Arteta is focusing on strengthening his forward line to narrow the gap with Manchester City.
Ahead of Juventus’ first Serie A match against Como, new head coach Thiago Motta confirmed that Federico Chiesa is not included in the team’s plans for the upcoming season.
“Our stance on Federico Chiesa remains unchanged.
He is not part of our strategy,” Motta stated. “We have had discussions, which reflects the respect I hold for all players. I prioritize transparency and clarity in my communication.”
Chiesa’s contract with Juventus runs until the end of the 2024/25 season, and with no new agreement in sight, reports indicate that the club may allow him to depart this summer for a fee as low as £12.8 million.

Chiesa’s contract with Juventus is set to expire at the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, and with no new agreement in sight, reports indicate that the Italian club may allow him to depart this summer for a fee as low as £12.8 million.
Arsenal has reportedly engaged with Chiesa’s agent in recent weeks regarding a potential transfer, as the player is eager to join the Emirates this summer.
His versatility allows him to occupy various positions along the front line, providing Mikel Arteta with enhanced flexibility in adjusting tactics and personnel during matches.
However, the Gunners must act swiftly to finalize a deal for Chiesa, as Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Tottenham are all keeping a close eye on his situation in Turin.
The 26-year-old is in high demand, and if the reported price is accurate, he would represent a particularly affordable option for a Premier League club.
Arsenal has the go-ahead to sign a discounted European forward, but they will need to navigate competition from other clubs within the Premier League.
According to FourFourTwo, it appears likely that Chiesa will leave Juventus this summer, but his next destination remains uncertain.
With numerous clubs interested, including teams from Italy, it is difficult to predict where the forward will be playing by the end of the transfer window.
